Lauren Hutton makeup is especially made for those of us who are over 40 and don’t feel the makeup selection on the market is appropriate for women our age. The idea for this line came about when Ms Hutton herself was disappointed at the array of makeup available for older women. She felt those on the market didn't do enough to minimize the wrinkles and shadows women tend to accumulate as they get older. Instead of wearing makeup she wasn’t comfortable with, she made her own. Thank goodness for that.

Laurent Hutton Face Disc

The Lauren Hutton Face Disc is a large compact featuring several different shades of makeup designed to highlight those areas needing enhancement and conceal those areas we'd rather others didn't see. It’s light so you don’t feel it on your face, and comfortable enough to wear during the hottest summer months. Best of all it looks natural, like you're hardly wearing makeup at all.

Each Lauren Hutton makeup package comes complete with the Face Disc compact containing makeup and a mirror, a 20 minute DVD offering detailed makeup application instructions, and a brochure offering a quicker version of those same instructions. Brushes, which will be described in detail later, are sold separately.

Makeup includes:

Spot Concealer

The Disc features four different shades of spot concealer. Since all women don’t share the same color skin tone, spot concealers can be mixed and matched until a suitable shade is achieved. Use spot concealer to hide freckles, pimples, scars, moles and age spots.

Light Concealer

The light concealer brings certain areas out of the shadows. Lighten the areas under and around the eyes, on and under the nose, and around the mouth. This concealer helps to achieve a more youthful appearance by minimizing shadows.

Contouring Shadow

Streamline your appearance with the contouring shadow. This shade will help to make that double chin disappear, shorten the forehead and offer a more contoured appearance. Lightly brush contouring shadow around the perimeter of the face including forehead, cheek bones and jaw line.

Blush/Lip Tint

Can’t find a suitable lipstick match for your blush? Say no more, we’ve all been there. The blush in the Lauren Hutton Face Disc collection can also double as a lip tint. There’s even a lip balm to help soften the lips and keep the tint in place.

Eyebrows

Drawn on eyebrows can look artificial and unattractive. It’s not easy to achieve a natural look with a colored pencil. The Face Disc contains an eyebrow powder without a heavy tint. Brows can be shaped without looking silly or unnatural.

Eyeliner

The eyeliner is perfect for day or night. Brush on as a light shadow for daytime wear, or use wet for a more dramatic nighttime look.

Pooch & Nose

This interesting shade is used to shape and define the nose and to reduce around-the-eye puffiness. It also doubles as an eye shadow.

Lauren Hutton Makeup Brushes

Many of us, Yours Truly included, are rather challenged when it comes to makeup application. Thanks to the Lauren Hutton Face Disc collection, the challenge ends. Each circle of makeup features a colored ring. The same color is visible on a corresponding brush from the Lauren Hutton makeup brush collection. By matching the makeup to the brush and following the application tips in the brochure or on the DVD you won’t have to worry about applying the wrong shade to the wrong area using the wrong brush ever again.

Apply in Minutes

This may sound like an awful lot of work, but in reality the makeup takes minutes to apply. In fact, it may cut down on your hurried morning ritual since the makeup is all contained in one package and used with corresponding brushes. Once you learn how to apply the makeup, it should only take a few minutes to apply.

Foundation, lipstick and mascara aren’t included with the Lauren Hutton Face Disc.
