How
to Choose the Perfume Selecting
a fragrance could be a real tough job. Fragrance reflects
the personality of a person. Choosing a fragrance is a
positive step in the direction of one’s unique style. There
are people in the world who wish to get recognized by their
signature fragrance. It is recommended to follow some tips
before choosing the perfect fragrance.
- Perfumes are basically divided into
five categories, floral, fruity, woody, greens and
oriental. First of all according to the personal taste,
one should decide which fragrance one like the most. For
instance some basic fragrances are lemon, roses, vanilla
or musk.
- Many times it happens that the person
who passes by wears a fragrance that is very pleasing.
Don’t feel shy in asking the person about the name of the
fragrance.
- While testing the fragrance, think
about it in the same way as about top, base and middle
notes of music. The top note is the immediate smell that
comes after spraying, middle note is the one that comes
after wearing it for a while and base note is the one that
remain after the fragrance dries up. Remember that light
spices and citrus are the first smells that get
evaporated.
- Concentrate on the favorite aromas and
try to get more knowledge about it from the skilled
salesman. This will probably help one to lead in right
direction. Examples of some usually loved aromas are
grapefruit, tea, clean linens, vanilla beans, citronella
candles or rainwater sometimes.
- After applying the perfume, wait for at
least 10 minutes. It is recommended to spray the perfume
on pulse points, as these are the warmest points of the
skin and one can get the best diffusion of the aroma.
- Snuffle the tested point again. If it
is really successful in leaving its traces on the mind,
ask for the delivery.
It really requires one’s great attention
to select the fragrance that soon will blend with the
fragrance of the body. Always keep calm and take well enough
time for making the selection. One should smell coffee beans
after testing different fragrances.
This makes easier for one to distinguish
among the different inhaled fragrances. Some fragrances are
strong while some are soft; it is purely a matter of one’s
personal taste. Remember that the fragrance one is going to
wear will be the identity which one can get through the
fragrance that one wear such as fresh, sweet, sensual etc.
